Ingredients:

• Cabbage – 1/4 kg finely chopped
• Onion – 1, finely chopped
• Coconut – 1/4 cup freshly grated
• Turmeric powder – 1/20 tsp
• Green chillies – 2-3
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Curry leaves – A few
• Salt to taste
• Oil – 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Mix cabbage, chopped green chillies and onion well
  2. Boil the mixture with turmeric powder and salt.
  3. In the meantime grind the coconut to a coarse paste.
  4. Boil the vegetables.
  5. Once the vegetables are boiled, heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and allow it to splutter.
  6. Then pour the above over the boiled vegetables and mix it well.
  7. Fry it for a minute and then add the paste and mix well.
  8. Cook it for 2-3 mins more.
  9. Serve hot with hot rice and sambhar.
