Ingredients:

• 1 – large Ridge gourd
• 2 – Onions (cut into small pieces)
• 1 – stalk Curry leaves
• 4 – Green chillies
• 2 – 3 – small strips of Tamarind
• salt
• For seasoning :
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 pinch -mustard
• 1 pinch – Jeera
• 1 pinch -urad dal
• 1 pinch – Hing

Method:

  1. Cut gourd into small pieces.
  2. Heat 1tsp of oil in a pan, add green chillies . After a minute add the gourd pieces and tamarind strips and allow it to cook for 10 minutes.
  3. As fresh veggies have water inside it cooks well.
  4. Now add salt and remove from flame
  5. Allow it to cool. Grind all these to a rough mixture.
  6. In a pan heat 1tbsp of oil and add all the seasoning along with curry leaves.
  7. Now add onions cut into small pieces and allow them to cook for a couple of minutes.
  8. Now add the ground mixture and mix well, leave this on flame for 5 minutes.
  9. It is ready to serve hot with rice or roti.
