Ingredients:
• 1 packet – Tofu (extra firm)
• Oil to fry
• For batter:
• 1.5 cups – gram flour
• 2 tbsps – yogurt
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – ajwain
• 1 tsp – dry Methi leaves
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1.5 tsps – salt, or to taste
• For filling:
• 1 cup – green Mint leaves
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1/4 tsp – salt
Method:
- Mix all ingredients for batter and add water. Keep stirring until it is smooth.
- Do not make it too thin, otherwise it will not stick to the tofu.
- Grind all ingredients for filling.
- Cut tofu into thin slices.
- Heat oil on medium heat.
- Take a slice, spread a little bit of the filling on it, and put another slice on top like a sandwich.
- Now, dip it in the batter and fry it on medium heat for approximately 2 – 3 minutes.
- Take it out, cut it in half and serve with ketchup or plain yogurt.
