Ingredients:

• 1 packet – Tofu (extra firm)
• Oil to fry
• For batter:
• 1.5 cups – gram flour
• 2 tbsps – yogurt
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – ajwain
• 1 tsp – dry Methi leaves
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1.5 tsps – salt, or to taste
• For filling:
• 1 cup – green Mint leaves
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1/4 tsp – salt

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients for batter and add water. Keep stirring until it is smooth.
  2. Do not make it too thin, otherwise it will not stick to the tofu.
  3. Grind all ingredients for filling.
  4. Cut tofu into thin slices.
  5. Heat oil on medium heat.
  6. Take a slice, spread a little bit of the filling on it, and put another slice on top like a sandwich.
  7. Now, dip it in the batter and fry it on medium heat for approximately 2 – 3 minutes.
  8. Take it out, cut it in half and serve with ketchup or plain yogurt.
