
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Beaten Rice
• 1/2 cup – chopped Onions
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – Channa + Urad Dal mixture
• 1 tsp – peanut, cashews
• 1 Green chilli
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Lime juice
• 1 tbsp – grated Coconut
• 1 tbsp – chopped coriander
• Salt as per taste.
Method:
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan, and splutter mustard seeds. | Add green chilli, curry leaves, dal mixture and peanuts, and saute.
- Then add finely chopped onions and fry until they turn lightly brown in colour.
- Meanwhile, wash and soak thick poha in water for about 3-4 minutes. Drain.
- Once the onions are done, add poha, salt, sugar, grated coconut and mix well and cook for about a minute or two.
- Remove from fire and add lemon juice and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve.
