Ingredients:
• 250 g – medium size Brinjals
• 2 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 cup – fine Rawa to coat
• Oil to deep fry
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Cut brinjals into thick slices
- Place in a colander and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp salt
- Leave to drain for 15 mins
- Place the brinjal slices on a napkin and press gently to remove excess moisture
- Mix all the powders with salt to taste and ginger-garlic paste
- Add little water and make a thick paste
- Apply the paste on both sides of brinjal slices
- Roll the slices in rawa and deep fry in moderately hot oil till golden brown
- Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot as a snack or a starter
