Ingredients:
• cooked white Channa – 1 cup
• Dried red chillies 3 to 4
• white sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
• Tamarind – 1/2 tsp
• oil – 2 tbsp
• mustard – 1 tsp
• black gram (Urad) Dal – 1 tsp
• Curry leaves a few
• salt to taste
Method:
- Roast red chillies and sesame seeds with 2 tsp of oil.
- Grind them with Chana, tamarind and salt, adding some water.
- Heat remaining oil in a small fry pan.
- Add mustard seeds.
- When they splutter, add Dal.
- When it is brown, add curry leaves.
- Add this seasoning to Chutney.
