Ingredients:

• 750 g Mutton
• 2 cups onion, sliced
• 1 cup Curd
• 1 tsp chilli powder
• 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
• 2 tsp garlic, minced
• 2 tsp ginger, minced
• Oil to deep fry

Method:

  1. Deep fry the onion in hot oil till golden brown.
  2. Reserve 2 tbsp of fried onion for garnishing and grind the remaining to a paste.
  3. Heat 3 tbsps of the oil in which onion was fried.
  4. Add mutton and cook stirring till it is brown evenly. Add all the powders, salt, garlic and ginger.
  5. Continue to cook stirring, adding curd little at a time and cooking till the liquid has evaporated.
  6. Add the brown onion paste and 1 cup of water.
  7. Let it simmer till the mutton is cooked.
