Ingredients:
• Fish slices – 1/2 kg
• Ridge gourd – 250 gm, peeled and chopped
• Turmeric powder – 1.5 tsp
• Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
• Mustard oil – 4 tbsp
• Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Lime juice – 2 tsp
• Salt – 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Apply salt and turmeric to fish slices and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the fish on both sides, drain well and reserve.
- Add fenugreek seeds to the remaining oil in the pan.
- When they splutter, add, ridge gourd remaining turmeric and fry well.
- Add salt and 1/2 cup of water.
- Simmer for 5 mins.
- Add the fish, simmer for 2 more mins.
- Remove from heat and add in the lime juice and stir.
- Serve.
