Ingredients:

• Cabbage – 1/2
• Sambar powder – 1 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Urad Dal -1/2 tsp
• Green gram – 2 tbsp
• Coconut (grated) -1 tbsp
• Turmeric powder (optional) -1 tsp
• Onion (optional) -1/2
• Rice flour- 1 tbsp
• Curry leaves – few
• Oil -1 tsp
• Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Chop cabbage.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add cabbage, green gram, sambar powder, salt, turmeric powder (optional), and 1/2 to 3/4 glass of water; pressure cook until one whistle.
  3. When the steam is completely released, add coconut and rice flour (mixed with water).
  4. Temper with cumin seeds and urad dal in oil and mix with the cooked cabbage.
  5. Allow it to boil for few minutes.
  6. Garnish with curry leaves.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
