Ingredients:
• Toor Dal – 2 cups
• Fenugreek -1/4 cup
• Mint – 1 Bunch
• 1 – Tomato
• Garlic – 5 to 6 Cloves
• Green chilli – 2
• Onion, chopped – 2
• Curry leaves
• Tamarind pulp – 1 tsp
• Oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Boil toor dal, fenugreek seeds and green chilli, 1/2 of the chopped onion, tomato in a cooker vessel (add little soda powder) for two cooker whistles.
- Let it cool for some time and mash it. Keep it aside.
- In another pan add 2 tbsp of oil, add onions and a bunch of mint leaves. Fry and add to the above mixture.
- Now boil the toor dal mixture for 3 mins with tamarind and a little daniya powder and pinch of turmeric and salt.
- Take off the stove.
- Splutter mustard and jeera seeds in a little oil
- Add to the toor dal mixture.
