Ingredients:

• 4 tsp – besan flour
• 1 – big Potato
• 1 – big onion, chopped
• 1 – medium tomato, chopped
• 3 – green chillies, chopped
• a small piece – ginger, chopped
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp – oil
• salt
• Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Take besan flour in a small bowl, add a cup of water, mix well and keep it aside.
  2. Boil the potato and cut it into small pieces.
  3. Heat oil, add cumin seeds.
  4. When it is slightly roasted, add chopped onions and fry for 2 mins.
  5. Add finely chopped green chillies, ginger and turmeric powder, and fry for a minute.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and potatoes.
  7. Add two cups of water, and boil for 5 mins.
  8. Add the besan batter slowly and add salt to taste.
  9. Allow this to cook for 10 mins.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  11. Serve hot with puris and chapattis.
