Ingredients:

• 1 cup – basmati Rice
• 1 cup – Pineapple (chopped)
• 1/2 cup – peas
• 7 to 8 – Cashew nuts
• 7 to 8 – Black Peppercorns
• 1 or 2 – Cloves
• 1 tbsp – Jeera (cumin seeds)
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – cooking oil
• A pinch – Cinnamon powder
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add jeera to it. When jeera splutters, add peas and pineapple to it.
  3. Saute, and then add the rice and the remaining ingredients to it – along with enough water.
  4. Cook it on low heat until done. Serve it hot.
