Ingredients:
• 250 g – Refined flour or Maida
• 50 g – Nescafe
• 300 g – Sugar (powdered)
• 250 g – Butter
• 5 – eggs
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence
• 2 level tsp – baking powder
• 3 tbsp – icing Sugar
Method:
- Sift the Nescafe, flour and baking powder together.
- Cream the butter and sugar well.
- Add the eggs one by one and mix well.
- Add the vanilla essence.
- Slowly add the sifted flour with the other ingredients and fold in the mixture to form a smooth slightly thick consistency without lumps.
- Add a little milk if necessary.
- Pour into a greased and papered baking dish or cake tin and bake in a hot oven for 40 to 45 minutes till done.
- When still hot, sprinkle the icing sugar on top.
