
Ingredients:
• 500 g – Apple
• 2 cup – fresh Cream
• 8 slices bread (2 days old)
• 4 tbsp – Sugar or to taste
• 2 tbsp – Lime juice
• 1/2 tsp – mixed spice powder (cinnamon, Cloves and nutmeg)
• 3 tbsp – Butter
• 3 tbsp – Sugar
• 2 tbsp – icing Sugar
• 1 tbsp – Orange rind
Method:
- Peel, core and slice the apples.
- Add sugar and 1/4 cup of water.
- Simmer till the apples are soft.
- Add lime juice and mixed spice powder. Leave aside to cool.
- Break the bread into tiny crumbs.
- Melt the butter. Add bread and sugar.
- Cook and stir all the time till the bread turns golden brown. Leave aside to cool.
- Whip the cream with icing sugar.
- Place half the bread mixture in a pudding bowl.
- Top with half the apple mixture.
- Spread with 1/2 the cream.
- Repeat the layers.
- Sprinkle orange rind on top. Serve chilled.
