Ingredients:

• 1/3 cup – dried Apple rings
• 1/4 cup – heaped Bulgur
• 2/3 cup – natural Yoghurt
• 1/4 cup – Milk
• A little artificial sweetener (optional)

Method:

  1. Mix the apple and bulgur in a bowl, then stir in the yoghurt and half the milk.
  2. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes, or until the bulgur is softened and swollen.
  3. The grain should still have some bite, although it can be left covered in the refrigerator overnight.
  4. Stir well and add extra milk if necessary to make the mixture creamy.
  5. The mixture can be sweetened with artificial sweetener if liked.
  6. Vary the fruit, if you like, or add fresh fruit to the plain soaked bulgar.
