Ingredients:
• 200 gms – arbi (yam)
• 100 gms – grated Carrots
• 100 gms – fresh Spinach leaves, finely chopped
• 3 tbsp. – gram flour (besan)
• 2 green chillies, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – roasted cumin powder
• 1-2 tsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tbsp. – oil
• oil for deep frying
• salt to taste
Method:
- Boil the arbi till tender. Cool and peel to remove skin. Grate finely and place in a mixing bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix with your fingers. Also add 1 tbsp. oil. Shape into round or elongated tikkies.
- Heat oil and deep fry tikkies, a few at a time till crisp and golden brown.
- Wrap in a foil to keep warm. Clubbed with a sandwich these can serve as a full meal.
