Ingredients:
• Channa dal – 1 cup
• Jaggery – 1 cup
• Cardamom – 1
• Maida – 1.5 cup
Method:
- Knead maida into a smooth pliable dough with enough water and salt and keep aside covered.
- Cook dal in a pressure cooker and grind the dal into a paste along with jaggery.
- Add cardamom to the poornam and mix well.
- Make poornam into small round balls
- Make maida into small balls that are half the size of poornam balls
- Now place maida ball on work top and flatten it with palm and keep a ball of poornam and cover it with the maida dough.
- Now press with hand or rolling pin to make small chapattis.
- Heat a tawa apply some oil and shallow fry.
