Ingredients:
• 250 g – cottage cheese/paneer cubes
• 2-3 Tomatoes pureed
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 cup – Milk
• 1/4 tsp – Sugar
• salt
• 2-3 tbsp – oil
• To be ground to fine paste
• 20- Almonds blanched and skinned
• 1- Onion
• 3- whole Dried red chillies
• 6-7 -garlic Cloves
• 1 inch – Ginger
Method:
- Marinate the paneer cubes with turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder and salt. Keep aside for a while.
- Grind all the ingredients into a fine paste and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and carefully toss the marinated paneer cubes for a minute or two.
- Drain the paneer onto an absorbent paper. Reserve the remaining oil.
- Heat the oil and saute the ground paste in it till the raw smell goes.
- Add the remaining chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and tomato puree. Stir till the oil separates.
- Add the fried paneer cubes, milk, salt and sugar and stir well. When thick, switch off the heat. Garnish and serve hot with any Indian bread.
