
Ingredients:
• 300 g – Paneer (cream cheese)
• 2 Onions (chopped)
• 1 cup – Green peas
• 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
• 1/2 cup – grated cheese
• salt to taste
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 4 peppercorns
• 3 Cloves
• 4 large Potatoes
• oil
Method:
- Deep fry the paneer and keep aside. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the onions, then add the turmeric, garam masala, cloves and peppercorns.
- Fry for a few minutes, then add the tomatoes and green peas.
- Simmer with a little water until the peas are cooked.
- Grease a baking dish and place the fried paneer evenly in it.
- Spread the fried pea mixture evenly over the paneer and keep aside.
- Meanwhile boil, peel and mash the tomatoes with salt and chilli powder.
- Cover the paneer and peas mixture with the mashed potatoes and sprinkle over the grated cheese.
- Bake in a moderate oven (177 degrees C) until the top is golden brown.
