Ingredients:
• For the White Sauce:
• 5 tbsp – Butter
• 5 tbsp – flour
• 5 cups – Milk
• salt and pepper as per taste
• Others:
• 100 g – French beans (cut into small pieces)
• 2 Carrots ( cut into small pieces)
• 2 medium sized Potatoes (cut into small pieces)
• 100 g – Green peas (shelled)
• 5 cubes cheese (grated)
• 2 tsp – pepper (or as per taste)
• salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Butter (for greasing the dish)
• a pinch cooking soda
Method:
- Prepare the white sauce.
- Boil the vegetables in 2 cups water with little salt and a pinch of soda till done but crunchy.
- Drain out the water if any. Cool completely.
- Add the boiled vegetables to the white sauce and mix well. Cool.
- Grease a baking dish. Pour the white sauce mixture into the baking dish.
- Evenly grate cheese on top.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree C till the cheese turns golden.
- Serve hot with cheese garlic bread.
- For the White Sauce:
- Lightly heat butter in a non-stick pan.
- Add flour and saut1.5 on a low flame till golden.
- Gradually add milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook the sauce on a medium flame, stirring all the time till you get a little thick consistency.
- Remove from fire and add salt and pepper. Keep aside
