
Ingredients:
• 3/4 cup – beetroot, grated coarsely
• 1.5 cup – sweet corn, rinsed
• 1/4 cup – semolina
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – Fennel seed
• 2 springs – Curry leaves chopped
• Handful – coriander leaves, chopped
• 2 – Green chillies chopped
• 1/4 tsp – pepper powder
• 1/8 tsp – Turmeric
• Salt to taste
• 1.5 tbsp – oil
• Oil for greasing and brushing.
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients except curry leaves, coriander leaves and oil
- Take 3/4 part of the above mix, grind it without adding water
- Mix the ground part with the 1/4 part.
- Add curry leaves, coriander leaves and oil and mix well.
- Grease palms, take small portions of this mix and make patties.
- Grease the tawa with little oil and fry the tikkis on both the sides on a medium flame till they turn crispy.
- If baking, preheat the oven to 200 degree C, grease a baking tray, place these tikkis in the tray and brush them with oil.
- Bake them for 20 to 30 mins depending on the thickness of the patties, keep checking after 20 mins, flip them to the other side. Bake them for 5 more mins
- Serve hot with ketchup
