Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Chana dal
• 2.5 cups – Jaggery
• 1 cup – Wheat flour (atta)
• 1/4 cup – water
• 2 cups – oil for frying

Method:

  1. Boil the chana dal.
  2. Powder the jaggery and mix it into the boiled and cooked chana dal and cook for a few more minutes.
  3. Make into medium-sized (golf) balls and set aside.
  4. Mix the wheat flour with water and roll out the chapattis.
  5. Put one ball of the chana dal mix between two chapattis and flatten out. Then roll into a medium sized disc, slightly larger than puris.
  6. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry lightly. Serve when cool.
