Ingredients:
• 4 – medium size potatoes, boiled, peeled and chopped into small pieces
• 2 – onions, chopped finely
• 2 – green chillies, chopped
• 3 tbsp – chopped Tomatoes or Tomato puree
• 1 tsp – chopped Ginger
• 1 tsp – chopped Garlic
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – spice powder or Garam Masala powder
• 2 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves
• 2 tbsp – oil
• salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions, ginger and garlic till they turn light brown.
- Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, spice powder / garam masala powder, salt and tomatoes and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
- Add a little water if more gravy is required.
- Now add the potatoes and mix well.
- Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve with chapattis or rice as a side dish.
