Ingredients:

• 1 – Bottle gourd, peeled and cut into pieces
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 5 – Curry leaves
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 2 – dry Red Chilli broken into bits
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1 cup – thick curd.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
  2. When they begin to crackle add the dry red chillies and curry leaves and fry for a few seconds.
  3. Add the bottle gourd pieces, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  4. Add a little water and cook covered on low heat till the bottle gourd is tender.
  5. Add the curd and mix well so that it blends well with the curry.
  6. Serve.
