Ingredients:

• Bread – 10 slices
• Oil for frying
• Salt to taste
• 1 – chopped Onion
• 1/4 cup -cabbage shredded
• 1/4 cup – Carrots grated
• 1/4 cup – peas
• 1/4 cup – Potatoes
• 3 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Jeera seeds
• For garnish:
• Grated cheese
• Chopped coriander
• Tomato slices

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard and jeera seeds.
  2. Add onions and fry till pink.
  3. Add the vegetables and cook till half done.
  4. Add the green chillies and salt.
  5. Add the bread pieces and pour 2 cups water.
  6. Simmer till water evaporates.
  7. Remove and add coriander leaves and grated cheese.
  8. Decorate with tomato slices.
  9. Serve hot with sweet/spicy chutney.
