Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Rice
• 1 medium size – Onion
• 1 inch – Ginger
• 3 large tsp – oil
• 1 tbsp – soya sauce
• 1 large tsp – Tomato sauce
• 1/2 tbsp – Red Chilli paste
• 1/4th tsp – ajinomoto
• 1 small tsp – Vinegar
• Salt according to taste
• Fresh Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Clean and wash the rice, and soak it in four to five cups of water for one hour.
  2. Cook the rice in 5 cups of hot boiling water and strain the excess water, allow the same to cool.
  3. Finely chop the onions, ginger and coriander leaves.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and add finely chopped ginger, onions. Keep frying till golden brown.
  5. Then add the rice, soya sauce, tomato sauce, red chilli paste, ajinomoto and salt.
  6. Keep stirring continuously on a high flame for one minute.
  7. Add coriander leaves and the vinegar.
  8. Garnish with deep fried ginger slices, sliced tomatoes and fried red chillies.
  9. Serve hot.
