Ingredients:

• 500 g – Butter beans/lima beans soaked
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 – tomato, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds
  2. When they splutter, add chopped onions and saute till light brown
  3. Now add the beans and all the other ingredients and mix well
  4. Add 1 cup of water and simmer on low heat till the beans are tender and the gravy thickens
  5. Serve hot
