Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – Cabbage
• 350g – Potato
• 250g – Onion
• 2 cup – curds
• 4 – green chillies, chopped
• a small piece – Ginger
• 6 Cloves – Garlic
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Chop the cabbage finely.
  2. Peel and cut potato into cubes.
  3. Chop onion finely.
  4. Grind green chillies, garlic, and ginger together with a little salt.
  5. Add the ground paste and the vegetables in a pan and cook covered until soft.
  6. Do not add water. The vegetables will cook in their own juices.
  7. Add turmeric, chilli powder, sugar, and more salt if needed.
  8. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Beat the curd till it becomes smooth, add it to the vegetables, mix well, and remove from fire.
  10. Serve as an accompaniment to a rice-based meal or with chapatis.
