
Ingredients:
• 1 – medium sized Cabbage
• 8 – sausages, each cut into 4 pieces
• 2 – medium sized onions, chopped
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – chopped Celery
• 2 tbsp – Butter
• 2 – green cooking apples (Optional)
Method:
- Wash and trim the outer leaves of the cabbage, cut it into quarters then shared it.
- Throw away the hard centre core.
- Peel and cut the apples into slices then soak in cold water.
- Melt the butter in a pan and fry the chopped onions till golden brown.
- Add the sausage bits, bay leaf, apple slices, shredded cabbage, chilly powder and salt and mix well.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes till the cabbage and apples are soft.
- Transfer to an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle the celery on top.
- Bake in a moderate oven (355 degrees F) for 15 minutes. This dish should be in moist.
- Serve with toast or rice.
