Ingredients:
• 2 – medium green Capsicums
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 4 to 5 – Curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• 1 tsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 pinch of Asafoetida
• Sugar to taste
• Salt to taste
• 2 – green chillies, chopped
Method:
- Heat oil and add cumin seeds.
- When they splutter, add urad dal and saute until it gets slightly brown.
- Add asafoetida, chopped capsicum, chopped chillies, and curry leaves.
- Fry until the capsicum is half cooked.
- Add tamarind pulp, salt, and sugar. Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from gas and cool.
- Once cooled, grind into a fine paste.
