
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – basmati or any other Rice
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 3 – onions, sliced finely
• 1 tbsp – Garlic paste
• 3 or 4 – green chillies, sliced lengthwise
• 10 or 12 – cashew nuts, broken into halves
• 2 tbsp – Raisins
• 1 – Chicken soup cube
• 4 – Cloves
• 3 – Cardamoms
• 3 pieces – Cinnamon
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the spices, bay leaves, and onions for a few minutes.
- Add garlic paste and green chillies and fry for a few minutes.
- Add ghee, soup cube, cashew nuts, and raisins and mix well.
- Add 4 cups of water and boil.
- Add rice and a little salt and simmer for about 15 minutes or till the rice is cooked.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves or parsley.
- Serve with any curry.
