Ingredients:
• 1/4 kg – medium-sized Catfish
• 3 Cloves – Garlic
• 1-inch piece – Ginger
• Handful – Coriander leaves
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 cup – Coconut scrapings
• 1 – Tomato cut into slices
• 1.5 – Onions
• 1/2 tsp – Tamarind pulp
• 2 tsp -red chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• Oil – 3 tbsp
Method:
- Cut fish into 1-inch pieces and add 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder and a little salt; then keep it aside to marinate for some time.
- Grind coconut, coriander powder, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, and one onion.
- Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, and add the finely cut onion; fry it till it becomes translucent.
- Then add a little turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
- To this, add the masala with a little water.
- Add the tamarind pulp to it, and stir constantly. Once this is added, add the fish pieces to it.
- Cook till done and garnish it with coriander leaves.
