
Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp – cashew
• 1 tbsp – Raisins
• 2 cups – Rice
• 1 cup – green dal
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Ghee
• 1/2 tsp – Saffron
Method:
- Wash rice and dal, place in a cooker and add 5 cups of water.
- Cook up to 2 whistles.
- Cool and open the lid. Again place it on slow fire and keep on stirring while adding ghee and sugar.
- Then add fried cashew, raisins and saffron.
- Hot pongal is ready to serve.
