Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Channa dal
• 1 – small Tomato
• 1 – small onion, finely chopped
• Salt to taste
• Oil – as per requirement
Method:
- Soak Channa Dal for 4-5 hours.
- Grind it to an almost smooth paste.
- Add salt to this batter.
- Heat the tava (griddle) and then place 1-2 tsp of oil.
- Spread the batter evenly on the tava in a round shape.
- Sprinkle these finely chopped tomatoes and onion on it.
- After a while, turn the uttappam and cook the other side of it, adding some oil as per requirement.
- Keeping cooking both the sides, until done.
- Serve with Tomato Ketchup or Coriander chutney.
