
Ingredients:
• 1/2 liter – Milk
• 250 g – flour
• 100 g – grated cheese
• 60 g – margarine
• 60 g – vegetable shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp – chilli power
• salt and pepper to taste
• a pinch Nutmeg
Method:
- Sieve the flour with a pinch of salt.
- Chop the margarine and vegetable shortening and work into the flour till crumbly.
- Gradually add a little water and knead into a firm dough.
- Place on a lightly floured surface and knead for another 10 mins. till smooth.
- Roll out the dough and cut into small rounds to fit pastry cups.
- Press pastry to line the cups well.
- Beat the eggs and stir in the milk, cheese, nutmeg, chilli powder, salt and pepper.
- Pour into the lined pastry cups and bake in a hot oven for 20 mins, till the cheese filling is set.
- Serve warm or cold.
