Ingredients:
• 1 kg – Chicken
• 3 – Onions
• 1 piece – Ginger
• 5 Cloves – Garlic
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1″ stick – Cinnamon
• 4 – Cloves
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – salt
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• a handful of Coriander leaves
• 1/2 cup – Tamarind extract
Method:
- Soak the tamarind in warm water.
- Make a paste of the ginger and garlic.
- In a vessel, heat oil and add the bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, chopped onions and turmeric. Fry until brown.
- Add the ground paste and fry it brown
- Add the chicken pieces, chilli powder, salt and tamarind juice.
- Cook the chicken until it’s tender.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
