Ingredients:
• 1 can – canned mackerel in Tomato sauce
• 1 – onion, medium sized chopped finely
• 2 – green chilli, sliced lengthwise
• ½ – chopped green pepper
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 inch – Cinnamon stick
• 1/4 tsp – Methi seeds
• 1/2 tbsp – oil
• salt as required
Method:
- Heat oil in a wide pan, add cinnamon and methi seeds.
- Now add onions and green chilly, keep stirring till the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the mackerel, spice powder, green pepper and salt and mix well.
- Cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes on medium heat.
- If you want it dry, cook the fish until all the water gets absorbed.
- Serve warm with rice or bread.
