
Ingredients:
• Tamarind-a gooseberry shaped ball
• Red chillies-4
• Mustard-1/2 tsp
• Jeera-1/2 tsp
• Tur Dal-1/2 tsp
• Asafoetida-1/2 tsp
• Rasam powder-1 tsp
• Oil-1 tsp
• Salt-to taste
• Curry Leaves-a sprig
• Coriander Leaves-a few
Method:
- Soak tamarind in water and extract juice.
- In a pan, add tamarind water,rasam powder,salt and asafoetida. Boil well till raw smell goes away.
- Temper with mustard ,tur dal, jeera and red chillies.
- Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice.
