
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – chiroti rava
• 1 cup – white flour
• 1/2 stick – butter, melted
• 1/4 tsp – salt
• water as required
• 2 cups – powdered Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Cloves
• 1/2 tsp – powdered Cardamoms
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 tbsp – Rice flour
• oil as required
Method:
- Mix the rava, flour, butter, salt and water to prepare a soft dough. Keep aside for 2 hours for the dough to rise.
- Add cloves and powdered cardamom to the powdered sugar. Mix and keep aside.
- Melt the ghee and add the rice flour. Make a paste and keep aside.
- Make lemon-sized balls of the chiroti dough.
- Press them into thin rotis (like chapathi).
- Take 3-4 rotis at a time, spread them with rice flour paste and place them on top of one another.
- Press a little and roll them into a cylindrical shape.
- Cut into 1-inch pieces. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan. Press the pieces into puris and deep-fry until light brown.
- When done, sprinkle the sugar powder over the fried puris (on both sides).
