Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – ground fish
• 2 – big Potatoes
• 200 g – Mustard oil
• Grind to paste: 1 tsp – Jeera
• 1 – big Onion
• 1 – whole Garlic
• 1 – big piece of Ginger
• 8-9 – Red Chillies
• For Garam Masala (grind with water):
• 2 – Dalchini
• 2 – elaichi
• 2 – Cloves
• For marination: 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Maida
Method:
- Mix the fish with salt, turmeric and maida and marinate. Make 6 balls.
- Boil water and add the balls. Boil for 10-15 minutes.
- Cut the balls into pieces and keep aside for frying.
- Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces.
- Heat 3-4 tbsp of mustard oil in the kadhai and fry the fish pieces until golden brown. Keep aside.
- Fry the potato pieces in the oil.
- Add the masala paste (except the garam masala). Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric and salt to taste.
- Add a glass of hot water and let the potato pieces boil in it.
- Once the potatoes are cooked, add the fried fish.
- Once done, add the garam masala and simmer for a few minutes, with the lid covered.
- Serve with rice.
