Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – ground fish
• 2 – big Potatoes
• 200 g – Mustard oil
• Grind to paste: 1 tsp – Jeera
• 1 – big Onion
• 1 – whole Garlic
• 1 – big piece of Ginger
• 8-9 – Red Chillies
• For Garam Masala (grind with water):
• 2 – Dalchini
• 2 – elaichi
• 2 – Cloves
• For marination: 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Maida

Method:

  1. Mix the fish with salt, turmeric and maida and marinate. Make 6 balls.
  2. Boil water and add the balls. Boil for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Cut the balls into pieces and keep aside for frying.
  4. Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces.
  5. Heat 3-4 tbsp of mustard oil in the kadhai and fry the fish pieces until golden brown. Keep aside.
  6. Fry the potato pieces in the oil.
  7. Add the masala paste (except the garam masala). Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric and salt to taste.
  8. Add a glass of hot water and let the potato pieces boil in it.
  9. Once the potatoes are cooked, add the fried fish.
  10. Once done, add the garam masala and simmer for a few minutes, with the lid covered.
  11. Serve with rice.
