Ingredients:

• For the cake: 100 g – all purpose flour (maida)
• 120 g – finely ground Sugar
• 90 g – saltless Butter
• 2 – eggs
• 1/4 tbsp – baking powder
• 20 g – cocoa powder
• 2 tbsp – Milk
• For the chocolate icing: 1/4 cup – condensed Milk
• 25 g – cocoa powder
• 40 g – Butter (saltless)

Method:

  1. For cake: Sieve the maida with baking powder and cocoa powder thrice.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar till light and fluffy with the help of a beater.
  3. Beat the eggs. Add to the creamed mixture of butter and sugar, gradually beating all the time.
  4. Add the creamed mixture to the sieved flour mixture.
  5. Add 2 tbsp of milk and beat it for 5-6 minutes with a machine beater. Pour it into a greased baking tray.
  6. Preheat an oven at 350 degrees F. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes and start preparing the icing.
  8. For the icing : Melt butter in a pan. Add cocoa powder and stir well for a minute.
  9. Remove from the heat and add condensed milk. Mix well and apply the icing immediately over the cake.
  10. Allow the icing to settle for a few minutes until it becomes thick.
