Ingredients:

• 1 cup – chocolate chips or buttons
• 2 tbsp – Butter
• 2 cup rice, Wheat or other cereal

Method:

  1. Form diya moulds with well pressed foil paper. Keep it aside.
  2. Boil water in a large pan or a double boiler.
  3. Place a small pan over the simmering water.
  4. Add chocolate chips and butter, stir gently while melting it.
  5. When it becomes smooth and even in texture, add cereals.
  6. Mix it well, take it off the fire and let it cool a little.
  7. Pour a small portion into a prepared diya, press it into shape with the back of a teaspoon.
  8. Repeat this for the remaining mixture.
  9. Allow it to cool and harden.
  10. Refrigerate if necessary until it becomes hard.
  11. Carefully pry it out of the mould, peel off the foil and place it on a plate.
  12. Fill as desired.
  13. Repeat for all the diyas.
