Ingredients:

• Basmati Rice – 2 cup
• Water – 2 cup
• Coconut Milk – 1 cup (Coconut Milk powder can be mixed with 1 cup of water)
• Onions – 2, sliced
• Green chillies – 4, cut into long strips
• Carrot – 1 (cut into small pieces) – optional
• Cloves, Cinnamon sticks – 1 tbsp
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cloves and cinnamon sticks.
  2. Add onions and green chillies.
  3. When done, add the carrot and fry for a while.
  4. Now, add rice and fry for a few mins
  5. Add 2 cups of water and 1 cup of coconut milk and add salt to taste.
  6. Pressure cook for one whistle and wait for the steam to subside
  7. Serve hot with boiled egg and raita
