Ingredients:

• 1 cup – grated Coconut
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• A few – Dried red chillies
• Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
• Cloves – 3
• Pepper Corns – 10
• Curry leaves – a few
• 2 pinches – Asafoetida
• Salt
• 1 tbsp – Butter
• Basmati Rice – 2 cup, cooked

Method:

  1. Spread the cooked rice in a wide plate to cool
  2. Heat butter in a deep pan and when it melts splutter mustard seeds and urad dal
  3. Cook till dal becomes golden brown. Then add cloves, split red chillies, pepper corns, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida.
  4. Finally add the grated coconut. Fry the coconut to light brown
  5. Mix rice to the fried mixture. Serve it with a little bit of ghee on the top
