Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Rice
• 1 cup – grated Coconut
• 1 – medium size onion, cut into rings
• 3 – medium size Green chillies
• 2 or 3 – Bay Leaves
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1.5 tsp – salt
• 2 cups – water
• 2 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Grind the coconut into a smooth paste.
  2. Wash the rice and drain the water.
  3. Heat the pressure pan and add oil. Add the bay leaves and cumin seeds.
  4. Once the bay leaves turn brown add the onions and green chillies.
  5. Let the onions cook for 5 mins ( not fried)
  6. Add the rice and stir for a minute. Add the ground paste to it. Add water, salt and pressure cook.
