Ingredients:

• Paneer cubes – 1 cup
• Chopped Capsicum – 1/4 cup
• Onions, chopped roughly – 2
• Tomato puree – 1/2 cup
• Coriander – 1/2 a bunch
• Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
• Garam Masala – 1 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Chilli powder – 1 tsp
• Butter – 2 tbsp
• Oil – 2 tsp
• Milk – 1/2 cup
• Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
• Coriander leaves for garnishing – 1 tbsp
• Kasuri Methi for garnishing – 1 tsp
• To make a paste :
• Tomatoes chopped – 1
• Garlic chopped – 1
• Cashew nuts (soaked in hot water for 1 hour) – 7-8

Method:

  1. In a non stick pan, dry saute capsicum and paneer cubes till they turn light brown and keep aside.
  2. In the same pan, add oil. Saute onions and garlic till it becomes light brown.
  3. When it cools, add the sauteed onions, the ingredients for paste and grind it to a smooth paste.
  4. In the same pan, add butter and splutter cumin seeds.
  5. Add the paste and saute for 5 mins.
  6. Add the garam masala, chilli powder, salt, tomato puree and mix well.
  7. Add the milk till it comes to a boil.
  8. Add the sauteed paneer, capsicum and mix well for 2 mins.
  9. Garnish with kasuri methi and coriander leaves.
