Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Basmati Rice
• 1 cup – Corn kernels
• 1 cup – Green peas
• 10-12 – cashews
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 4 or 5 – Bay Leaves
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 – small Onion
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• 4 tbsp – oil or Ghee
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak basmati rice in 3.5 cups of water for 20 minutes and prepare rice.
  2. In a heavy saucepan, heat the oil and add cumin and mustard seeds to splutter.
  3. Add onions, bay leaves, ginger garlic paste and fry them until they turn into brown.
  4. To same oil add the corn, peas, turmeric, chilli, salt and masala powders.
  5. Cover and cook till they turn into brown.
  6. Then add cooked rice and mix well and wait for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Garnish with cashews and enjoy.
  8. Serve hot with curd.
