Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Basmati Rice
• 1 cup – Corn kernels
• 1 cup – Green peas
• 10-12 – cashews
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 4 or 5 – Bay Leaves
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 – small Onion
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• 4 tbsp – oil or Ghee
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak basmati rice in 3.5 cups of water for 20 minutes and prepare rice.
- In a heavy saucepan, heat the oil and add cumin and mustard seeds to splutter.
- Add onions, bay leaves, ginger garlic paste and fry them until they turn into brown.
- To same oil add the corn, peas, turmeric, chilli, salt and masala powders.
- Cover and cook till they turn into brown.
- Then add cooked rice and mix well and wait for 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with cashews and enjoy.
- Serve hot with curd.
