Ingredients:
• 3/4 cup – besan
• 3 cup – Sugar
• 2 cup – Ghee
• 500 ml – water
Method:
- Sift the besan.
- Mix sugar in 500 ml of water. On a medium flame, stir till the sugar gets dissolved.
- Increase the heat and allow the syrup to boil till it reaches a single-thread consistency.
- Add 1/4 of the ghee and stir.
- Add besan gradually, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Stir till the mixture starts bubbling.
- Continue the process till the besan and ghee are used completely.
- Pour ghee every time you add besan.
- Continue stirring till you get the aroma of sweet roasted besan and the besan turns brownish in colour.
- Pour the mixture into a greased tray, cool a little and cut into square pieces.
