Ingredients:

• Rice – 1 cup (Cooked)
• Raw Rice – 2 cups (Extra-long grain )
• Urad Dal – 3/4 cup
• Cooked Rice – A handful
• Aval (Poha) – 2 tbsp
• venthayam (methi seeds) – 1 tsp
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash all the ingredients except the cooked rice and salt.
  2. Soak them in water for at least 5 hours.
  3. Add the cooked rice and grind to a smooth paste with the required amount of water. Add the required salt.
  4. Cover and keep aside for at least 10 hours to ferment.
  5. Then mix the batter thoroughly.
  6. Take a ladle full of batter and spread on a medium-hot tawa to a thin layer quickly.
