Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Milk
• 1/4 cup – Milk powder
• 1/4 cup – cocoa powder
• 3/4 cup – light Brown sugar
• 1/2 cup – toasted Wheat bran
• 1/4 cup – puffed Rice Krispies
• 4 to 5 drops – vanilla essence
• 2 tbsp – Butter
Method:
- Mix cocoa and milk powder together.
- Add half a cup of milk and make a smooth paste. Keep aside.
- Add butter and brown sugar to a nonstick pan.
- Place over low heat, stirring occasionally until fully melted.
- Add remaining milk and bring to a boil.
- Add the prepared paste gradually, while stirring continuously.
- Cook, while gently stirring, until it forms a soft lump.
- The mixture should leave the sides of the pan easily.
- Add in vanilla essence, Rice Krispies, and half of the wheat bran.
- Remove from fire and mix well till it cools a little.
- Roll into small balls between both palms.
- Roll the balls in the remaining bran.
- Refrigerate on a sheet of butter paper till well set.
- Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
